Baked French Toast

Eggs – from Sequatchie Farm
Strawberry basil goat cheese – from Ocoee Creamery
Violet infused simple syrup – from Jones Farm

Loaf of bread
8 eggs
1 1/2 cup milk of choice- we used goats milk
1 container of Ocoee Strawberry basil goat cheese
2 tbsp softened butter
About 3 tbsp Violet simple syrup (more or less if you want to change the color)
Spices like cinnamon or nutmeg
Maple syrup

Grease a casserole dish. Beat eggs and add milk and spices. Mix butter, goat cheese and simple syrup. Cut bread into cubes and place half in a greased casserole dish. Place dollops of goat cheese mixture on top of the bread. Cover with the remaining bread and pour egg mixture in. Refrigerate overnight or for as long as you can. When ready to bake, pop it in the oven at 350 for 45-55 minutes or until golden.
