Orchard House Creamery has never missed a market in almost fifteen years of being a vendor. Husband and wife team, Ben and Joanna Bleasdale, got into the raw cow milk business after Ben’s parents began Fall Creek Farms.

🐄 As they have grown their herd as well as their family, now with three young daughters, Ben and Joanna are ready to expand the business again and hire a part time farm hand. Bottling, deliveries, and ensuring the best care for the cows in Spencer, TN are some of the duties and no prior experience is needed.

🐄 There’s even more exciting market news coming so sign up for their newsletter to be sure you don’t miss out on updates, recipes, tips, beef sales, merchandise, and more.

🐄 Stop by their booth to sign up for a required raw milk herd share to have access to raw milk for a lifetime or email Joanna to secure pre-order, pre-paid grass-fed, pasture raised raw cow milk waiting for you in the row of coolers every week at market.

With Earth Day approaching, we’ve been featuring ways our market helps the planet as well as our immediate community.

♻️ Our Free Range Recycling is the service we created in 2020 to provide a space where customers can return packaging to vendors to help keep costs lows and landfills empty. Turn in clean egg cartons, paper or plastic bags, and rubber bands to the market booth.

🌱 However several vendors, like Fresh Tech Growers, take back their specific packaging. Fresh Tech accepts their produce boxes, ziplock bags, logoed clamshells, and “berry baskets” (those little blueish green cardboard produce containers) They even have a jar buy back program for their canned goods.

🥬 If you missed signing up for a spring CSA earlier this year, there’s good news as aeroponic famers Fresh Tech Growers offers their Crop Box Subscription year-round! Their twelve-week CSA can be accessed anytime and your twelfth week is free!

👨‍🌾 As a CSA member, you’ll receive priority when it comes to limited produce plus a variety of leafy greens, brassicas, herbs and more in small (feeds 1-2 people) or large (3-4 people) reusable boxes.

👋🏼 Stop by their booth this week to find out more about their subscription boxes, what packaging they recycle, and cultivate community.

Today, we celebrate Food Waste Awareness Week with 40 vendors, live music from the Ukuladies, brews on tap and the opportunity to participate in the @hopecommunityfridge food drive!

🥫 Bring non-perishables (or purchase perisables from your favorite vendor) and donate them at our market info booth. They’ll be delivered at this Saturday’s Bread To Beer event at @oddstorybrewingco where they are turning @niedlovs stale bread into a small batch specialty brew.

We hope to see you at the market today 4-6pm!
